BioniC BIOGRAPHY Bionic was formed in mid 2002 by Steven Archambault and Mark Fitzpatrick. After writing incessantly for the better part of 2001, Archambault and Fitzpatrick began to submit material to legendary Boston-based producer and engineering wiz Anthony J. Resta (Collective Soul, Megadeth, Hoobastank, Duran Duran, Full Devil Jacket). Excited about what he heard and what they were capable of, Resta took on the project in December of 2001. Bionic completed work of their self-titled 4-song debut EP in May of 2002. After several weeks of auditions BIONIC was completed with Connecticut drummer Michael Ostuni, and Boston, MA bassist Craig Spear. Within three months BIONIC made their live debut in October 2002 with a sold-out show at Club 125 in Haverhill, MA giving a crushing performance of recorded and new material. Since May 2003 BIONIC has been garnering an amazing amount of requests at New England radio stations such as ROCK 101 WGIR in Manchester, NH, 100.3 WHEB in Portsmouth, NH, and WAAF and WBCN in Boston, MA. John Laurenti, Music Director at 94.5 WHJY in Providence, RI who had a chance meeting with BIONIC last fall claims Nothing local Ive heard in quite some time even compares to what BIONIC is doing. John is working diligently for BIONIC with reps from all the major record labels that pass thru his office. He currently has Im Alive in light rotation at WHJY as John claims Its a smash hit single. Bionics sound has been labeled infectious and very radio friendly. Thick, heavy guitars combined with an emotionally aggressive yet melodic vocal sound has been opening quite a few doors as well as ears for the band in such a short period so far. With such a huge response, Bionic has already received airplay on said stations during prime-time, local, and overnight programming, logged 100+ shows and has moved over 2,500 copies of their self-titled debut EP since January 2003. No strangers to sharing stages with label headliners, Archambault and Fitzpatrick have performed with in previous projects with Godsmack, Staind, and a host of semi-nationals from club dates to radio festivals. (Locobazooka/WAAF 107.3). This has enabled BIONIC to share stages with Universal Recording artists RA in 4 cities as well as Warner Bros. artists TRAPT in Manchester, NH, and hard rock icons TESLA at the prestigious Hampton Beach Club Casino in Hampton Beach, NH in Sept. 2004. All shows for New England radio stations ROCK 101, 100.3 WHEB (Clear Channel) as well as 107.3 WAAF (Entercom/Active Rock Station of the Year 2003) in Boston, MA. Bionic is
currently in negotiations with a west coast entertainment company for
full time management. Details coming soon! |
